Working Parties

Papermill tree clearance.jpg

It is because we maintain our own waters that the PFA is able to keep it's membership costs so low.   With the exception of Juniors and Members over 70,  or Members who may have physical disabilies etc,  all members are expected to attend four working parties per annum, it is a condition of Membership that Members agree to when joining the club.

Whereby for reasons of distance and or personal challenges members cannot attend at least the four wotking parties they must pay £15 per missed working party.

This valuable contribution goes toward materials, tools, matched funding etc for attracting grants for contractors etc.

In 2025 the club received a £3,500 grant from the Angling Trust AIF (Angling Improvement fund) towards the £4,800 cost for a contractor to tackle Himalyan Balsam on an industrial scale.

That aside it is always our aim to encourage attendance, these working parties strengthen the feeling of fellowship and purpose whilst conserving our fabulous rivers, becks and lakes.

If you are interested in attending a working party please email the Keeper for that specific water.
All current Keepers and email addresses are listed in the schedule below.
